Position Vacant: Clinical Nurse Consultant Grade 3

Based at St Vincent's Hospital
Permanent Full Time Position
The BMT Network NSW is seeking a Clinical Nurse Consultant to work in the Clinical Specialty of Haematopoietic Progenitor Cell (Bone Marrow Stem Cell) Transplantation. Based at St Vincent's Hospital the CNC will have responsibility across 15 BMT units in NSW in the five domains of Clinical Practice - Clinical Service Consultancy, Clinical Leadership, Teaching, Research and Clinical Service Planning. This is an established position with excellent links into all NSW BMT units and an enthusiastic group of senior and junior nurses participating in multicentre projects across all Sydney metropolitan Area Health Services.
The BMT Network is an initiative of the Greater Metropolitan Clincal Taskforce (GMCT), a NSW Health Health Priority Taskforce (HPT). The BMT Network reports to the GMCT and is supported financially and professionally by them.
Essential Requirements
- A minimum of seven (7) years full time equivalent post registration experience, with at least five (5) years full time equivalent experience in the specialty. (As per CNC State Award 1/2000)
- Relevant postgraduate qualifications in the specialty
- Recent experience in BMT Nursing as per CNC Award
- Apheresis experience
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively independently, and in a collaborative team environment
- Demonstrated commitment to quality improvement principles and improved health care outcomes
- Proven excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Demonstrated effective teaching skills
- High level of computer literacy, including the MS Office Suite of Applications.
- Ability to work flexible hours
- Research Skills
- Current or eligible for Class C NSW DriverÕs licence
Desireable Requirements
- An understanding of the NSW Public Hospital System
